Michael finished his first full year as a Bulldog on a tear and wound up with a .398 batting average, second highest on the team. He also had a great year on the mound, with a 3-1 record and one save. He played with the Bulldogs for the Perfect Game tournament in 2007, going 2-2, then joined the 2008 Bulldogs for the SANDLOTT High School World Series, where he pitched a shutout and was 2-3 at the plate. Michael was the starting first baseman for Franklin High School varsity in 2008. In addition to his athletic accomplishments, he is in the top ten in his class academically.
