Alex had a great season on the mound for the Bulldogs in 2008 with a 3-1 record, 3.03 ERA with 44 strkieouts and only 10 walks in 39 1/3 innings. He led the team in strike outs and was third in innings pitched. Alex has a huge upside and can be overpowering on the mound. He also hit .298 and hit his only home run for the 18U Bulldogs. Alex pitched for the Donelson Christian Academy varsity last spring, finishing the 2008 regular season with a 4-2 record, four saves, and a 3.42 ERA for the Wildcats. He was selected to the TBCA Region 5-6 Showcase team and the 8-AA All-District second team. Alex will sign with The University of Tennessee-Martin during the early signing period this November. Alex was President of the 2008 Junior class at DCA and was elected Student Body President for 2009.
